AV Intern
Project Summary
We are seeking a motivated and eager AV Intern to assist our AV Technician in maintaining, learning, and supporting our audio-visual systems. This position offers hands-on experience with the latest AV technology, practical training, and exposure to the operations of corporate AV systems. The intern will engage in a variety of learning opportunities, job shadowing, and technical support tasks.
Ideal Degrees
AV Technology, IT, or a related field.
- IT/Computer science
- other related degrees
- Currently pursuing a degree or certification in AV technology, IT, or a related field.
- Strong interest in audio-visual systems, event technology, or networking.
- Basic knowledge of AV equipment is a plus, but not required.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Complete online Q-Sys training modules to gain knowledge of AV system control and integration.
- Assist with learning and familiarization with the company’s AV systems, including hardware, software, and infrastructure.
- Job shadow during the setup, operation, and troubleshooting of AV systems for events, meetings, and other corporate functions.
- Aid in documenting AV systems and maintaining an up-to-date inventory of AV equipment.
- Gain an understanding of the networking principles behind AV systems, including connectivity, configurations, and basic installations.
- Hands-on training with AV systems and installations.
- Real-world experience in corporate event AV management.
- Exposure to AV networking and control systems.
- Documentation and inventory management skills.
A brief description of experience with audio/visual equipment in live production or in a corporate or educational setting.
