About This Event

The Medal of Honor was created during the American Civil War and is the highest military decoration presented by the United States government to a member of its armed forces. Recipients must have distinguished themselves at the risk of their own lives above and beyond the call of duty in action against an enemy of the United States. Since the Civil War, the United States had awarded over 3,500 Medals of Honor. Join us to hear Doug Ohman share selected stories of Minnesota Medal of Honor recipients since the Civil War.

Doug Ohman has spent the past 30+ years photographing historic architecture and landscapes in Minnesota. His work has been featured in books, magazines, and calendars. He has been the featured host of eight PBS television programs. His PBS program, Landmarks- Keeping History Alive was nominated for a PBS Emmy in 2019.

This event will include a three-course luncheon followed by the presentation. When registering, please indicate your choice of salad dressing and any dietary restrictions.
