Museum Parking During US Bank Stadium Events

Museum Parking During US Bank Stadium Events

With the museum's close proximity to US Bank Stadium, ramps, surface parking lots, and some parking meters near the museum charge event rates for parking during stadium events.  Please plan your museum visit accordingly, and keep these options in mind:

  • Meters along South 2nd Street in front of the museum and some nearby cross streets will remain $1 per hour with a 2-hour time limit during stadium events.  The 2 hour time limit is strictly enforced, though that is usually enough time for a museum visit. The City of Minneapolis has an interactive parking meter map that can be used to find meter restrictions and rates during stadium events.
  • There are a variety of options (free on-street parking, meters, ramps) directly across the river from the museum in the St. Anthony Main and Marcy-Holmes Neighborhood areas.  Enjoy a short and scenic walk across the Mississippi River and Stone Arch Bridge to get to the museum.
  • Public transit, particularly the Blue and Green light rail lines, are good options if you can avoid pre- and post-event congestion.  The US Bank Stadium light rail station is about four blocks from the museum.
  • Nice Ride Minnesota has bike rental stations throughout the city, including many near the museum.

Driving directions and non-event parking information can be found here.

Vist the US Bank Stadium website for a list of upcoming events.
